Grown And harvested by the Red Lake Band of Chippewa in northern Minnesota. Our "Quick Cook" wild rice is put through a process known as scarification, which punches small holes or perforates each grain of rice so that it more quickly takes on liquid, thereby reducing the cook time (20-25 minutes) to about half the cook time of our dark cultivated wild rice (which has a cook time of 1 hour).
